Are you on fire?

Revelation 3:15
"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot.

Are you hot? Are you a fire? The term being on fire is a term used to describe a passion, burning, exuberant relationship with Christ. There are certain characteristics of fire that can be applied to your walk with Christ.

First: Fire is a light. When you are on fire for Christ, You are focused on shining Jesus and not your self. You become more concerned what he desires for your life than what your desires are. Are you a light to the lost around you?
Second: Fire is consuming. A person on fire is totally consumed with it. It can't just be in one part or another. It will spread to every part. You can't have Christ in one area of your life and keep him out of other areas.
Third: Fire changes what it touches. You begin to become like Christ. You will be changed. Change will be evident in your life. You will have a hunger for more of God, a boldness to witness and a desire to read God's word. Everything the fire touches it forever changes.
Last: Fire is noticed. You know when things are on fire. It is not hard to see. People who are in Love with Christ are not hard to find. Your walk with Jesus should be evident. No one has to ask if you are on fire, they know.

Maybe you know Christ, but are not on fire.
How do I become on fire:

1. Get Hungry: Ask God to help you hunger after Him instead of the things of this world. Matthew 5:6: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, For they shall be filled. What are you hungry for?

2. Worship: Being a person who knows how to see the face of God. Cooperate and private praise and worship will energize your walk with Christ. Honoring Him and lifting Him up, builds your relationship w/ Him.

3. Devotion: Seek the Lord's face daily in prayer, and be in His word. Fire must need fuel to stay alive and going. A healthy devotional life will kindle your fire and make it stronger. No Fuel No Fire.

4. Serve: Find someone or somewhere to serve. Jesus said the First will be last and the last shall be first. He who wants to be the greatest in the Kingdom, must become the servant of all. Serving gets your focus on others rather than yourself.

5. Live Right: One of the biggest fire stoppers in SIN. Sin separates. Sin is like putting a wet towel on your fire. When you make mistakes, repent and turn away. Selfish & sinful desires are directly opposite from a fiery relationship with Christ.

It has been said, "that if you light your self on fire, people will come watch you burn"

Being on fire is not up to God, but up to us. There is a difference between those who know Christ and those who are on fire for Christ. Are your hot or cold, or are you Luke Warm. Don't be vomit.
