Although these pieces of “useless trivia” are true, none of them require any action or response on our part. And knowing them won't improve the quality of your life—or anyone else's for that matter.

But there's a kind of truth that can change your life! That truth is the Word of God. Jesus promised that you could know the truth, “and the truth shall set you free.” The writer of Hebrews described the Word of God as “quick and powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12).

If you think that the Bible is nothing more than ancient trivia, think again! It has the power to do a mighty work in your life. That's why Christians want to spend time in God's Word every day, even though they may already know what's in the Bible. You need to allow the Bible to do its work on you. God speaks to us and changes us through his Word. Read it and you will experience true freedom in Christ!
