Mission Statement:
Reaching the youth of this generation, seeing teens altared (changed by Jesus in a dynamic way.

The Big Event Outreach:
Every 2-3 months we put on a big event to reach students in the northwest Houston area. We bring in inflatable games, prizes, free food, an incredible event to say the least. Then we deliver a huge multimedia service where we preach Jesus Christ, give an opportunity to know Him. These night have changed who we are. Many teens have came to know Jesus thru these events. Some of the past events have been: Gym Night, The Big WooHoo, Illuminate, Amplify, One Night, & Pizza Friend Night.


Drama Team:
We incorporate a student drama team to help illustrate Bible concepts through drama, skits, human video, acting, and video production. Drama meets every Tuesday at 6 pm.

Worship Team:
One of our main desires is to create an atmosphere or worship to our God. Through cutting edge praise and worship, we honor the Lord with our talents every Wednesday Service and every Altared JV.

Fine Arts:
Fine Arts is a AG talent competition designed to enhance the gifts that God has given our teenagers. Fine Arts ranges from music categories to video presentations, from poetry to t-shirt design, from short sermon to Christian band. We give our youth opportunities to grow in their talents and encourage them to use them for the Lord.

Mission Trips:
We love to take youth around the world (to Mexico and beyond). If we can get a teen to experience life outside their FOUR walls and see what Christ can to through them in another country, it will change their life.

HELPS Team:
This group of teens show up every Tues. night for one reason to serve the church and to setup for Wed. Night youth service.

Local Youth Events:
We have many weekly local events to provide fellowship with the teenagers at Altared. These events include: lock-ins, night outs, movie nights, 5th quarter, Jr. high events, scavenger hunts, beach trips, bowling, ice skating, theme nights, open houses, and much much more

Altared's Vision:
Our vision is four fold: (1st) We want to TRANsform students by Jesus Christ. (2nd) We want to TRAIN students in the Faith. Encouraging them to live for Christ whole heartedly. (3rd) TO GO - To give students an oppurtunity to do somehting for God. To give them the tools to share Christ with others.

Wednesday Night Youth Service:
This is our main event. We focus most of our energy into this power packed service. Every Wednesday night we open up the Happy Cafe, where we sell pizza, nachos, candy & sodas. We also have a game room, where the youth can have a little fun before and after service. Other events include basketball, sand volleyball, pool tables, ping pong, and much much more.

Speed The Light:
Speed The Light is a youth sponsored giving program for missions. Providing missionaries with transportation, audio and video equipment. Enabling them to preach the gospel with effective tools and equipment.

Genesis Discipleship:
Genesis is our youth discipleship program. This is an 8 week program designed to take young people to a deeper walk with Christ. We train on various issues from prayer to commitment to the word. Many requirements are needed to graduate from Genesis.

Exodus Traning :
Building leaders is the key to growing a strong healthy youth group. Without strong leaders the youth pastor can only grow so far. Here at altared we believe in leadership. Every Sunday we meet with our student leaders, to train and equip them to Each leader is given certain responsibilities after proving them selves to the youth group. They have strict requirements and personal accountability. They are a major reason why altared will continue to be successful in reaching the youth of this city.
